I used this app for several years & was happy with it. Recently something changed…it kept asking me to verify my email address, handphone number & password. When I responded it responded that my handphone number was already being used? I have deleted the program several times trying to use the program to no avail. I want to use the service offered but I’m not going to put up with a “broken” app. Thanks, Ron

Limit Promotional Push Notifications

The service and app are overall good, I’ve been a happy user for several years. What has become increasingly intolerable is the promotional push notifications and their frequency—HappyFresh, please get with the program that has been industry best practice for a long time: distinguish transactional from promotional notification types and allow users to configure them differently. We need notifications for deliveries, chat with shoppers for item replacements, etc. These are transactional essentials, so because of these disabling the app’s notification permissions entirely is out of the question. But I’m not interested in promotional notifications, it shouldn’t be necessary to explain this preference. Further, my iOS stats indicate HappyFresh among the highest counts of notifications, for an app that I use (and want to use) once every two weeks. This frequency of promotions is too high even for those consumers who are price-sensitive enough to want notifications, I think. Please stop making notifications all-or-nothing, and consider more effective/less alienating marketing strategies for protecting your churn rate.

Hidden service cost & greedy rider

During checkout there is no mention regarding the estimated service cost or even the word service cost is also nonexistent. Orders arrived and had to pay extra RM7.00 service cost for the items that shopper/ rider did not pick up. It is absurd and stupid. If there is really a service cost in the first place, should have add it in during checkout, not after receiving product. I feel cheated. Furthermore, greedy rider try to juggle 2 different orders from 2 different account holder from the same household into 1 order, leaving out 3 important products from an order just because they are big and heavy and only bring the lightest one. In the end, it’s my loss. No more purchases here, going back to my usual online platform

Payment difficulties

Doesn’t accept credit and debit cards anymore since Feb 9, 2022. No BCA OneKlik. Paying is a pain and needs to be fixed soon

Serious software bug in the app

The app has a major flaw in that it will remove items in your shopping cart without notifying you. And if you are not able to remember all the countless items you have added to your cart at check out, you will find out only upon delivery that items are missing.

Very helpful app!

The app layout is good and easy to understand, from choosing a store to adding items to purchasing is neat. Some improvements I will welcome happily: 1. Real time stock update Given the time from making an order until the shopper actually shops are approximately one day (probably because I live in a small city like Malang), sometimes some items turns out of stock. It would be nice if the app would notify us right away so we can choose a replacement right away. 2. Price comparison Sometimes you would want to get the best bargain between stores, right. I think it would be nice if we can have a price comparison between one store and the average available from other stores. Just so we can pick the best price.

Terrible customer service

They did not make things right when we were delivered the wrong items on the second order, the store did not ask about replacement items and rider did not even call to notify us simply left the bags with security. I politely asked to exchange one unopened item on the next delivery and the customer service rep said cannot, we are stuck with the item because of their mistake. Very bad experience.

Shopper nya komunikatif. Pengantarnya ok juga. Produknya bagus, Tapi saat pencarian di search bar ada beberapa Yang tidak di temukan, Tapi saat bicara dengan shoppernya ternyata produk tsb ada. Kalau produknya kosong Atau Mau diganti, saya di telponin dan di tanya Mau ganti dengan apa, dia konfirmasi dulu. And pengantaran cukup on time. Saya pilih rentang Waktu 16-17:00 wib, driver nya antar pakai motor sekitar jam 16:20wib. Barang saya cukup banyak, dua kardus besar, satu kardus kecil dan dua kantong belanjaan, semuanya muat di motor driver. Saya kasih 5 bintang Nanti Kalau semua produknya Yang available di supermarket nya sudah bisa di temukan pakai search bar nya :)

Easy and Simple Apps!

My favorite apps so far to buy groceries in Jakarta Indonesia. I live in Dallas Texas USA, and often to use this apps to order food and groceries for my family and relatives in jakarta indonesia. I did remotely order for them from U.S and so far I always satisfied with their services and process. Hopefully they will improve to have more variances of stores, bakery and restaurants. Recommended Apps!

Good app; great service

App is reasonably well done. Great functionality. Wish there was a way to change delivery address after placing order before the order is delivered. Excellent service by personal shopper! Would definitely use this service again.

Thailand Payment Options Limited

Thailand has some kind of strange prejudice against foreigners using local credit/debit payment options. This makes the app much less useful, since I have to use my USA based credit card rather than my local Thai bank card. Otherwise, the store options are good and the way they handle substitutions is acceptable.

Personal shoppers at their best!

I found that happy fresh is becoming more and more reliable in providing their service and i’m their happy customer! special thanks to those shoppers/riders who are putting their heart into their work.. they are the one that made me keep on using this app for my grocery needs.. them and the discount coupons of course 😀

Unavailable Slots

Can’t share my review regarding happy fresh services as I can never find an open slot. I tried using it over eight times, last minute cancels or unavailable slots. Love the idea though

Great idea, poor execution

Happy Fresh is apparently understaffed. I’ve tried using the deliver now option on three occasions, but that is never available. Scheduling a delivery time is also a problem. It is very difficult to actually find an open time slot, and even when you do, they’ll cancel on you at the last moment. I’d love to use this app and not have to go to the store, but it’s unreliability makes that impossible.

Great app, poor price accuracy

Revised rating: (10 Aug 2020) Leaped from 1 to 5 stars! Why?: 1. Accurate discounted price (thanks also to Food Hall Villa Delima, Lebak Bulus, Jakarta Selatan). When it tagged 50% off, it gave 50% off. Before this, I cancelled shopping what supposed to be this, but in fact ended full price. 2. Accurate delivery time. It says 17:00-18:00, delivered 17:29. 3. Option to “do not replace shopping bag with closely matched items, when exact items not available”. This helps miscommunications when shopper not available to receive calls to approve replaced items. Bravo. Please keep up this performance. Original rating: Dont get me wrong for 1 star rating. I have no problems with the app, but out of 2 times shopping, both had inaccurate pricing and I had to cancel one of 2 of my orders because I had to pay full price of what supposed to be a 35% discounted price tag. A big price difference!

Consistently incorrect orders (Jakarta)

I have tried happy fresh via the grab app in Jakarta several times during lockdown and nearly every time, the order is filled incorrectly. Not only are unavailable items consistently listed as available in the app, but when that occurs, the store either sends unclear information regarding replacements or doesn’t notify at all. The app itself is great, but what’s the point if there’s very little chance of me being able to buy the things I ordered? Very disappointed.

Amazing App, amazing service

Being from a product development company I know how hard it is to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. I think HappyFresh TH has been doing exactly that since I have started using the app. Great job guys!! From App’s convenience to Delivery Person’s attitude... the full cycle is amazingly well managed and user experience oriented.

During corona pandemic

Happy fresh has been a real star during the lockdown and social distancing where we can’t go to malls. Most of the things are available . The helper calls us to chk to tell what’s unavailable and it’s replacements . The payment method too is easy. The delivery guy is prompt and within time. Thanks happy fresh for which an awesome and helpful app 🙏🏼

Great app especially during self isolation

I started using happy fresh since I’ve been self isolating at home. Very useful app. Great variety of stores and locations. Too bad stock is not up to date though.

Easy shopping!

The app is easy to use and well laid out. The only area I would hope they can improve in the future is if they could have real time stock. In every order we place, at least 2-3 items turn out to be out of stock and we don’t have any way of knowing that until right before the delivery is sent. Because you select a time slot for delivery, if you needed a particular item for something you’re cooking, you don’t know until the last minute that you aren’t getting it, so in the end you may have to go ahead and go to another store in person anyways. But other than that issue, this app makes life in Bangkok and getting things you need so easy and convenient. Still love it and use it almost every day.

Efficient online grocery shopping

The App experience and user face ability is good and seamless. Customer service is prompt and good. Delivery time and effort very good. Fresh ingredients is a slight problem, I’ve had countless vegetables or fruit go off very quickly, within 24 hours. I suspect older fruit and veg gets pawned off just before it expires..? so consume same day? Also both complaints were not dealt with. So I assume it’s happening to other people too?

Great help in Bangkok

Save a lot of time and sweat (especially in this very hot weather). Great that customer can pick the delivery time at convenience. A way that can communicate with the stores when products are not available is perfect. Overall, truly impressed 👍

Lifesaver!

Happyfresh is simply a lifesaver - I have four children and I don’t have to deal with jakarta traffic! Yes, I’ve had two small issues, but I have found customer service to be super fast at responding to my complaints. Overall super impressed.

Always on time, great deals! I’ve used them every week now for several months. Produce always fresh and as specified by me in the notes. Products packed nicely. No issues with the app.

HonestBee is much better

Last 3 orders were over an hour late. Customer service unhelpful and doesn’t seem to care about the customer. They were unable to reschedule orders that were were running over an hour late, and told me I would need to cancel and re-order again. I’ve used both HappyFresh and HonestBee in Bangkok. The app, ordering experience, delivery experience and customer service are hands down better from HonestBee.

Need to iron out some logistical issues

When the service works, it is brilliant and convenient. But several times now I have been misled by the app to believe that there are delivery slots open only to find that once I've wasted my time adding items to my cart and proceed to check out, there isn't delivery until the next day. Please make it so I am informed of the actual delivery availability before I spend time shopping. This is frustrating.

Excellent service and app

I just moved to Jakarta 2 days ago. I don't speak Indonesian and I don't know my way around the city. I stocked my whole kitchen with this app and it saved me SO much time and hassle. Both deliveries I ordered were accurate and on-time. The English descriptions are very good. Great app!

Missing beef on my shopping bag

Order number R947542930 on 31st jan I order beef on my shopping list but apps said its out of stock, i realize that after i paid and receive the goods. Total RM 83 with the beef Which is on my shopping bag missing beef but the shopper did not minus RM 13 for the beef Hope you can follow up for this case

App is ok but not convenient anymore

Service fees on top of delivery fees. Most of the time i don't mind paying, but now I can't even get my groceries on the same day or even the next day. I might as well go get it myself. Convenient service initially, now not so. Disappointing. App works well though 🤔

Does what it should

Very happy, the app is intuitive and does just as it set out to do. I usually order from Grand Lucky because they are pretty on par with what is listed in the app, rarely is something out of stock. Worth the download.
